Our 2012 Diamond Mountain Cabernet is 100% cabernet grapes and was sourced from Diamond Mountain district of Napa Valley. The grapes were sourced from the highly sought-after “Constant Vineyard,” at the peak of Diamond Mountain, Napa Valley’s tallest mountain. A tasting discloses flavors of classic dark cherry, cassis and hints of mocha balanced perfectly with spice and subtle notes of wood. Aged 22 months in French Oak barrels to produce a complex, yet delicate flavor. (only 204 cases produced).

2014 Pinot Noir: Our 2014 Pinot Noir is from the Dutton Ranch property outside Sebastopol, California, in the Russian River Valley AVA (Green Valley sub-appellation).Our specific vineyard is a 26 acre parcel called “Widdoes”, with gently rolling hills, warm summer afternoons and cool evenings that contribute to the dense pine-cone-like (“pinot”) clusters of nearly black (“noir”) berries. The resulting wine (Inspired by the classical French Burgundy region where Pinot Noir has been grown since the 14^th Century) is medium, full-body in color – with deep berry notes of red & black cherry. (75 cases produced)

2015 Pinot Noir: Our 2015 Pinot Noir is from the Dutton Ranch property outside Sebastopol, California, in the Russian River Valley AVA (Green Valley sub-appellation). 2009 Mt. Veeder, Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Our 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a 12 acre vineyard in the Mount Veeder Appellation of Napa Valley. The vines are over 25 years old and cared for by sustainable farming done by hand. Mt. Veeder production accounts for less than 2% of overall Napa wine production.

WINEMAKER’S REVIEW

A tasting discloses flavors of classic dark cherry, cassis and hints of mocha balanced perfectly with spice and subtle notes of wood. Aging in French Oak barrels helped create its complex, yet delicate flavor. Enjoyable now, this wine will continue to improve in the cellar for years.

2013 Rutherford, Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

91pts – Wine Enthusiast magazine: “Bright, tangy acidity helps lift a soft mid-palate of polished tannin in this appellation wine. It has enviable structure to offer around a layered flavor array of cassis, red currant and black cherry, its secondary characteristics playfully savory in black pepper and clove.”

Our 2013 Rutherford Cabernet is from the heart of the Napa Valley “floor,” selected from a vineyard owned by Far Niente Vineyards. The soils of the Valley floor mostly consist of weathered mountain dirt washed down through the centuries in rainstorms – sedimentary, alluvial and gravel-based. This soil, combined with the extra heat in the Summer months, tempered by afternoon marine winds, creates an “earthy” or “dusty” style of cabernet. Rutherford cabernets are also know for their red-cherry base. (75 cases)

WINEMAKER’S REVIEW

A supple, seductive and extraordinarily ripe wine that will win it’s taster over! The approach is enticingly dark in the glass, the aromatics begin thick, fumy and packed with beautiful, long and elegant black fruit. The palate is equally entertaining with black plum, ripe cherry, a spice rack of oak and barrel vanillin, all supported with a nicely-textured tannin.

2017 Dutton Ranch Pinot Noir

WINEMAKER’S REVIEW

This wine reminds me of fine red silk. A mouthfeel so smooth, it’s like polished glass in the mind. This Pinot Noir is perhaps the most refined of any that I have made. It is not a beast by any means but right from the start, this wine begins with mild red fruit aromatics of cherry skin, ripe strawberries, clove, a hint of allspice and candy basket. The nose and color are marvelous, but the ah-ha moment of this wine is the mouthfeel and balance. There are no edges, or ‘elbows’ out in this wine whatsoever. It’s a marvelous thing when the tactile beginning of a Pinot is entirely in harmony and this wine sings. I don’t know if this will be a wine to live a long, long life, but from release to 10 years, it is most certainly bankable!

2016 Oakville, Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

The esteemed Robert Parker Jr. celebrated this area and helped make it iconic in the early 80’s. Quite possibly no neighborhood in wine today has produced higher quality, or more high scoring Cabernets from prestigious wine authorities, in the world. Oakville’s terroir, or more easily understood as the combination of climate, plant and soil, is undeniably the best in not only Napa Valley, but the best in all North America for the expression in the Bordeaux varieties raised there. At the north border of Oakville sits our chosen site, the 360 Vineyard, both owned and operated by the talented vineyard manager, Oscar Renteria. It is a gravel and loam soil type on the Valley floor, that while well drained, requires very little water allowing it to follow nature’s lead quite well. The vineyard was planted in the early 2000’s and today is producing wines that are truly world class. Brands sharing in the spoils from 360 include Chappellet, Sojurn, B Cellars, Frank Family, Venge and Darioush to name a few.

WINEMAKER’S REVIEW

“This is a brooding black storm of a wine that begins with intoxicatingly rich black cherry, plum, graphite, with hints of vanillin and sweet tobacco. The mouth is a flush of mouth filling fruit and savories. Dried black cherry, espresso, vanilla and toast with the support of fresh acidity and very fine tannin for incredible length. The 100% new French oak support from Darnajou and Taransaud is perfectly structured for this 49-case blockbuster. I believe cellared correctly this wine will survive to 2039 and beyond.

WINEMAKER’S REVIEW

This is a beautiful spice box mélange of bright red, racy fruit, fresh crushed raspberry, Christmas spice, and a touch of clove and vanillin from the 40% new French Oak. The aromas come in waves of absolute delight. The palate is striking with near perfect balance of acidity, weight of fruit and a strength of tannin. The Widdoes is a dry farmed, old vine, vineyard that has a stoic demeanor in the fruit it yields. That strength and balances allows for a lovely food pairing wine that will age most gracefully. I believe cellared correctly, this wine will survive to 2029 and well beyond.

2012 Diamond Mountain, Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

91pts – Wine Enthusiast magazine: “From a 2,100-foot-elevation site, this wine is given 18 months in French oak. Earthy and wooded, it’s a sizable mountain of a wine, reflective of its provenance, with big, dry tannins and a taste of tobacco. Age through 2020.”

The 2012 growing season was one the best in recent history for Napa Valley, considered a classic vintage. An ideal spring provided near perfect conditions to start off the season followed by a long, sunny summer with no heat waves. The fall rains held off late into the harvest season enabling a long slow ripening.

The grapes were sourced from Constant Vineyard located in the Diamond Mountain appellation of Napa Valley situated at over 2100 feet elevation, one of the highest vineyards in Napa Valley. Due to the shallow soils the vineyard is farmed to very low yields per acre.

Decant this wine for 30- minutes before serving to accentuate the maximum fruit aromas and flavor profiles of this very age-worthy wine.

2016 Bacigalupi Russian River Chardonnay

92 pts. – Wine Enthusiast – “Creamy and lushly full bodied, this wine is complemented by a gritty texture of mineral and crushed rock, the whole integrated and well structured. Bold ripe flavors of pear are met by baking spice and toasted oak that linger with abandon on the finish.”

Entrepreneur Wines’ 2016Chardonnay hails from theBacigalupi Vineyards on the west side of the Russian River. Located just south of Healdsburg and northwest of Windsor, these vineyards were made famous in 1976 by Mike Grgich when he was Winemaker at Chateau Montelena. The fruit for the prized Chardonnay was harvested from the Bacigalupi Vineyards. The resulting wine won the White Wine Competition at the Judgment of Paris in 1976. (The competition that turned the world of wine upside down. Check out the Alan Rickman movie, “Bottle Shock.”). That vineyard is still producing world class wines, and our vines are more than 60 years old.

WINEMAKER’S REVIEW

With its light yellow straw hue and inviting approach, the 2016 Entrepreneur Bacigalupi Vineyard Chardonnay belies deep roots and surprising complexity. But, not so surprising considering the vineyard: the Bacigalupi family has been growing world-class Chardonnay in the Russian River Valley for three generations. Identified by its etherial perfume of light honey, dried stone fruit, barrel vanillin, and a touch of toffee, this vintage stands with the rest. Gentle and coating on the palate, with a tropical twist of citrus swirling at the finish.
